Caietele CNSAS este o revistă științifică semestrială editată de Consiliul Național pentru Studierea Arhivelor Securității (CNSAS) din București.

Publicată constant din 2008, este o publicație academică dedicată studierii istoriei recente a României, cu accent pe perioada comunistă (1945–1989), consolidându-și poziția distinctă în cercetarea arhivelor fostei Securități și a mecanismelor represiunii totalitare. Caietele CNSAS reprezintă una dintre principalele publicații academice românești care valorifică direct arhiva Securității. Articolele se bazează masiv pe documente de arhivă inedite sau puțin cunoscute, oferind o perspectivă „de jos” asupra funcționării aparatului represiv: recrutarea informatorilor, problemele rețelei, tehnicile de conspirație, reeducarea din penitenciare (Aiud, Gherla etc.), acțiuni de influență etc.

Caietele CNSAS publică în principal:

  • Studii și articole bazate pe documente din arhiva CNSAS (fonduri informative, penale, documentare, cadre etc.).
  • Analize ale structurilor represive comuniste: Securitatea, rețeaua informativă, colaboratorii, metode de supraveghere și represiune.
  • Tematici recurente: rețeaua informativă în anii ’50, reeducarea politică în penitenciare, propagandă, rezistența anticomunistă, acțiuni împotriva opoziției politice, cultelor religioase, intelectualilor, minorităților etc.
  • Studii de caz despre grupuri de rezistență, acțiuni operative, cadre ale Securității, supravegherea tineretului, a sistemului educațional etc.
  • Documente editate sau comentate, rapoarte de arhivă, recenzii.

The CNSAS Notebooks is a biannual scientific journal published by the National Council for the Study of the Archives of the Securitate (CNSAS) in Bucharest.

Published since 2008, it is an academic publication dedicated to the study of the recent history of Romania, with a focus on the communist period (1945–1989), establising itself as a a distinct voice in the research of the archives of the former Securitate and the mechanisms of totalitarian repression. The CNSAS Notebooks represent one of the main Romanian academic publications that directly capitalizes on the archives of the Securitate. The articles are based heavily on unpublished or little-known archival documents, offering a “bottom-up” perspective on the functioning of the repressive apparatus: the recruitment of informants, network problems, conspiracy techniques, re-education in prisons (Aiud, Gherla, etc.), influence actions, etc.

The CNSAS Notebooks mainly publish:

• Studies and articles based on documents from the CNSAS archive (informational, criminal, documentary, cadres, etc.).

• Analyses of communist repressive structures: the Securitate, the information network, collaborators, methods of surveillance and repression.

• Recurring themes: the information network in the 1950s, political re-education in prisons, propaganda, anti-communist resistance, actions against political opposition, religious cults, intellectuals, minorities, etc.

• Case studies on resistance groups, operative actions, Securitate cadres, surveillance of youth, the educational system, etc.

• Edited or commented documents, archive reports, reviews.
